About me

As both a photographer and graphic designer, I’ve always enjoyed intertwining the two professions. My keen eye for detail and artistic style as a designer is mirrored in my work as a photographer. Since graduating in graphic design in 2017, I have been working as a designer for a high end art book publishers. After shooting my first wedding on the side of my design career, I soon realised it was the perfect opportunity to combine my interests and influences from design, photography, and fashion, and project them into documenting a wedding day. My background as a designer allows me to think further than creating an image just for use on a screen, but considering how the frames I make translate as printer matter, and artwork in someones home.

When I’m not photographing weddings or designing, I’m documenting my personal life and travels with my wife. I have a huge passion for travel, fashion, art and design, sport, food and walks with our Springer Spaniel, Truffle. Having planned and experienced our own wedding day in Italy recently, I know how important this occasion is, and I hope to make you as excited as we were about ours.

Style & Approach

I shoot in a creative, reportage and editorial style, with a focus on fashion and with the aim to create honest and timeless photographs. For me, the inbetween moments are just as important as ‘the’ moments, and having a relaxed approach helps my couples to feel at ease while capturing these. I feel honoured to be entrusted by my couples as it gives me artistic freedom to make the best possible work for my couples. I set out to create modern portraits mixed with wider scene setting frames, details and subtle gestures, while capturing candid and intimate moments between the couple and their guests, to illustrate the unique story of each couples day.

I’m inspired by a diverse range of photographers, from the documentary street work of photographers like Garry Winogrand and Joel Meyerowitz, to the fashion work of Juergen Teller, and the suburban nightscapes and portraiture of Todd Hido. Each style of photography influences me differently and I soon realised that wedding photography offered me the perfect opportunity to combine all of these influences.
